PEEK Sleeve Bearing for automotive actuators
PEEK bearing bush for an actuator system in automotive applications. The part supports a steel shaft rotating at high speed and is designed for tight tolerances, low noise and consistently reproducible function in production.
The application places high demands on temperature resistance and on friction and wear behaviour. Production takes place in two identical four-cavity injection moulds designed for stable high-temperature processing and reproducible cavity quality across production volumes of several million parts.
The tolerance range of 0/+0.01 mm on the inside diameter is particularly demanding at an annual volume of more than 10 million moulded parts. Production quality assurance includes automated 100% inspection plus optical and tactile sample inspections.
