Functional parts for single-channel pipettes with volume adjustment
Functional parts in PEI for single-channel pipettes used to set the pipetting volume precisely. The parts perform latching, guiding and movement functions within the pipette mechanism and are designed for reproducible function and high dimensional stability.
The project comprises six injection moulds for precision injection moulding to produce the various components of the assembly. Thin walls, delicate latching geometries and internal thread structures combined with stable high-temperature processing are particularly demanding.
The mould technology combines slider mechanisms, unscrewing units and delicate ejector sleeves to reproduce the function-critical geometries reliably. Quality assurance is based on optical and tactile sample inspections.
