PBT Sheath GEN1 coupling for endoscopic systems
Coupling parts in PBT for a sterile single-use assembly connecting an endoscope and a sterile drape. The system consists of a coupling part in 0° and 30° versions and a nut for mechanical locking.
The assembly supports the secure connection of the sterile sheath to the endoscopic system and places high demands on dimensional accuracy, dimensional stability and reproducible snap-fit function. The focus is on accurately fitting interfaces and reliable locking within the single-use system.
The GEN1 components are produced by precision injection moulding in two injection moulds. In production, washer-disinfector cleaning and packaging in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom follow, supplemented by visual and tactile sample inspections and microscopic visual inspection in the cleanroom.
