PEEK Scope User Ring for medical visualisation systems
Precision part in PEEK for the 3D visualisation system of a robot-assisted surgical system. The stop ring performs a mechanical stop function and is designed for reproducible dimensional accuracy, reliable function and a uniform part surface.
The material selection takes account of requirements for reprocessing, sterilisation and resistance to media. The part is produced in a single-cavity injection mould with eight precisely matched slide segments, so that the undercut cage geometry can be reproduced reliably.
Precise mould spotting of the slide parting lines and sealing the slides against the mould core are particularly demanding in order to minimise visible parting lines on the part. Production quality assurance includes 100% visual inspection plus optical and tactile sample inspections.
