Two-part housing for keyless entry key fobs
Two-part housing in ABS and TPE for an electronic vehicle key in automotive applications. The assembly combines a robust housing function with a precise fit of the housing parts, a high-quality appearance and reliable handling in everyday use.
The part was implemented in multi-component moulding as a two-shot hard/soft combination. The housing body is made of ABS, while the button areas and the black surface area are made of TPE.
The dimensionally accurate joint between the housing halves, the clean definition of the symbol and button areas and reproducible surface quality are particularly relevant. Colour and material coordination support the visual differentiation of the key fob.
