Three-part housing assembly for industrial Ethernet switches
Three-part housing assembly in PC/ABS to UL 94 for industrial Ethernet switches. The assembly consists of a housing, a cover and a DIN rail clip and is designed to provide precise positioning for the circuit board, allow secure assembly and function robustly in control cabinet environments.
The housing mould is designed as a master mould with conversion sets for variants with different numbers of Ethernet ports; the housing and cover are also produced in several colour variants. Dimensional stability, dimensional accuracy and a reproducible fit of the assembly are decisive.
In terms of mould technology, the demoulding of the mushroom-shaped snap-fit features, the mechanism of the DIN rail clip with its resilient plastic tab and the ventilation slots with their flow lines and weld-line areas are demanding. Quality assurance is based on optical and tactile sample inspections.
