Gear part for medical drive systems
Planet gear in tribologically optimised PEEK for a medical metering system. The black material, modified with carbon fibres, graphite and PTFE, is designed for low wear, dimensional accuracy and reliable function within the gear system.
The gear part is produced by micro injection moulding in a two-cavity injection mould in MTT size. The small module, delicate tooth geometry, runout and meshing behaviour in operation are particularly demanding.
Mould and process design focus on the dimensionally accurate reproduction of the gearing with single-tooth correction. Quality assurance is based on optical and tactile sample inspections and gear rolling inspection.
