Dissection clip for bipolar vessel-sealing instruments
Delicate dissection clip in natural-coloured, unreinforced, high-flow PEEK for bipolar vessel-sealing instruments used in minimally invasive surgery. The internal part sits in the distal area of the jaw and has to be integrated into the instrument precisely and reproducibly.
The part is produced by micro injection moulding in a two-cavity injection mould in MTT size. The very thin, delicate structures and free-form surfaces combined with tight tolerance requirements of ±0.010 mm are particularly demanding.
A key challenge is the precise mould spotting of the complex geometry and slide areas in order to ensure defined parting lines and reproducible part quality in high-precision production. Quality assurance is based on optical and tactile sample inspections.
