PEEK connector component for medical imaging
Connector insert in unreinforced light-grey PEEK for medical devices and imaging applications. The component provides electrical contact, mechanical fixing, insulation and the interface to the imaging system.
The part is produced by precision injection moulding in a two-stage PEEK-on-PEEK overmoulding process. A carrier is moulded first, fitted with contact pins and then fully overmoulded; precise positioning of the contact pins, reliable overmoulding and material-appropriate high-temperature processing are decisive. Parts undergo 100% visual inspection, supplemented by optical and tactile sample inspections.
