New ELEKTRA EVOLUTION 110

8 November 2017  |

With the ELEKTRA EVOLUTION 110 we have created additional capacity for precise and economical injection moulding processes. The focus is on medical technology applications and the processing of engineering plastics and high-performance polymers.

Capacity for new production projects

A strong order book and the ramp-up of new projects made a further expansion of our production necessary. With the ELEKTRA EVOLUTION 110 we are adding another machine to our production equipment that is designed for reproducible processes and consistent part quality.

This allows us to take on new projects more systematically and to plan production schedules more reliably. With technical plastic parts in particular, this reserve capacity matters, because mould trials, process optimisation and production are closely linked in everyday work.

All-electric machine with a linear robot

The decision in favour of another ELEKTRA is based on good experience with this machine range. Quality, reliability and repeatability suit applications in which process windows must not only be defined but maintained consistently.

The all-electric machine concept with a linear robot system supports controlled production from the moulding cycle through to part removal. With quality-critical parts in particular, this integrated process control reduces unnecessary process influences on part quality.

Processing high-performance polymers in a production environment

Since commissioning on 1 June 2017, we have used the ELEKTRA EVOLUTION 110 particularly for demanding plastic parts in medical technology. These include applications in which material behaviour, mould temperature control, demoulding and stable process parameters interact closely.

The machine therefore complements our production where precise movement sequences, automated part removal and high-temperature processing come together. For BERGER, it is another step in the development from a technical centre to a reliable production partner.
